Montco fall 2020 course schedule update
This message was sent to students and employees.
Dear Montco Family,
The College has been working diligently to assess and determine our approach with fall 2020 courses and how best to conduct the fall semester. Many aspects were considered in evaluating the multiple factors that impact this decision. Keeping all elements in mind, the College has determined that most of our fall 2020 courses will be delivered online – this is for all course instances regardless of duration (15-week, first 7-week, 10-week, and second 7-week). All academic support services will continue to be provided online.
In recognizing some specific situations, we will offer a limited number of courses in a hybrid format with some aspects online and other elements on campus. Details about these specific hybrid course situations will be shared in the coming weeks.
Faculty will receive additional information through Academic Affairs shortly. We will begin migrating our current fall 2020 schedule this week and specific course information will be available through the course scheduling system. Students can monitor their schedules in Self Service over the next few weeks and contact the Student Success Center with questions.
Please know this was a difficult decision for fall as we would prefer to be in-person together again. However, safety is our top concern, including the need to monitor for any potential COVID-19 recurrence.
As part of the Montco family, we are all here to help each other, and our faculty, administrators, and staff are committed to supporting students as they reach their educational, professional and personal goals. As the fall semester draws closer, I will continue to provide updates as necessary.
Sincerely,
Dr. Vicki Bastecki-Perez
President
