Make the most of winter break

Winter break has arrived; let’s make it productive! There are many things you can do during your break to prepare for the start of the spring semester - classes resume as early as January 17, 2024.

New Students

  1. Apply. You can apply to Montco at any time. With the New Year upon us, it’s a great time to get started. Be sure to check Montco's dates and deadlines to ensure you don't miss registration, payments and more.

Montgomery County Community College requires students to have their photo taken for their official college record. If you don’t yet have a Student ID, the MyPhoto online system is now public, and you can upload your photo directly in Montco Connect under Quick Links > Virtual ID Photo Submission.

  2. Learn more about financial aid. Winter break is a great time to learn more about the resources at Montco, including financial aid. Check out helpful information about payment plans, grants, scholarships, work study, and more.

    Complete the FAFSA!
What better time to complete the FAFSA than now! If you're starting classes this spring, make sure to complete the 2023-24 FAFSA to be eligible for aid.

  3. Visit campus virtually. You can still see all that Montco has to offer by watching our Pottstown Campus virtual tour and Blue Bell Campus virtual tour. You can virtually meet with an advisor during our same day appointments and register for class. Please note, no drop-in advising sessions will take place December 24 through January 2 as the College is closed for winter break.
  4. Why Montco? With over 50 areas of study, three vibrant locations and an abundance of student resources, discover why Montco is the place for you to build your momentum by reading our digital viewbook.

Returning Students

  1. Register for classes through Self-Service via Montco Connect. This spring, classes will be delivered online and in-person. Make sure you get the classes you want and register for spring now!
  2. Connect with an advisor – No appointment is needed from January 2 through January 27. If you are looking for assistance with spring 2024 course planning, our advising team will be available for same day (30 minute) appointments. Log in as early as 7 a.m. each morning to request a time for an advising appointment that day! To make your same-day appointment, schedule online.  Please note, no advising sessions will take place December 25 through January 1 as the College is closed for winter break.
  3. Prepare for the upcoming semester. Take a look ahead at your upcoming classes and make sure you have all the materials you’ll need for success. It’s a good time to purchase your textbooks through our online bookstore and have them delivered to your home address over break!
  4. Self-service. Available 24/7, access real-time information about your class registration, schedule, financial aid award, placement test scores, payment information, transcripts, and grades.
  5. Relax and enjoy your break! Don’t forget to take time to relax and enjoy spending quality time with family and friends.
