Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) and Thomas Jefferson University’s School of Business are excited to announce a new partnership that will open up another seamless, convenient pathway for MCCC students to continue their education.

Through this enrollment partnership agreement, MCCC students who earn their Business Administration associate degrees can transfer directly into the Jefferson’s School of Business, with junior status in one of five majors: Accounting, Fashion Merchandising & Management, Finance, Management and Marketing.

MCCC students who apply through this partnership may be considered for merit scholarships, based on their academic record at the time of application. Phi Theta Kappa honor society members will receive an additional $2,000 per year.

“This partnership is an exciting opportunity for our students to continue their education and pursue their career goals,” said Dr. Chae Sweet, MCCC Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. “By creating such pathways, we empower students to confidently take the next step in their academic journeys while minimizing costs.”

Dr. Philip Russel, Jefferson’s School of Business Dean, notes, “We are thrilled to begin a formal partnership with the Montgomery County Community College, and to welcome the school’s students to our East Falls campus. I am sure that this opportunity will create exciting pathways for MCCC students to continue their education and succeed in their future professional careers. It will also encourage collaboration among the students at the institutions through shared co-curricular programming.”

This partnership is one of the many program-to-program partnerships MCCC offers, along with 30+ partnerships with four-year institutions, making it an affordable way to earn a college degree while keeping student debt low.

Jefferson’s School of Business, housed within the Kanbar College of Design, Engineering & Commerce at the University’s East Falls Campus is known for its innovative approach with experiential learning practices, study abroad opportunities, internships and more. The Wall Street Journal ranked Jefferson in 2023 as one of the top 50 universities in the nation.
