The Montgomery County Community College Alumni Association Board of Directors announced the newest members of its Executive Committee recently.

Matthew Riddick has become the new Board Chair; Chele Hallman, is the Board Vice Chair and Stephanie Ziegler is the Board Secretary/Treasurer.

Board members include Bill Vitiello, Jonathan Basta, Alecia Fields, Lisa Filoon, Erica Howard, Theresa Kaminski and Cindy Whitley.

Members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors can be elected to serve up to three two-year terms. Through officer and committee positions, board members engage with students and alumni to strengthen the mission of the College and take part in efforts to support members of the Montco family - both past and present.

Riddick, originally from Harleysville, is the founder and president of The Riddick Foundation, which advocates for the Black and Brown communities in the areas of scholarship, mentorship, and arts advocacy. Riddick has been on the Board for three-and a-half years. As he begins his new tenure as Chair, he’s looking forward to expanding efforts to reach the 90,000-plus alumni of the College.

“As the Board steps into new leadership, we are excited about taking the Association to even higher heights,” he said. “We look to increase the number of our Board members, increase attendance at alumni events and increase our alumni engagement.”

Hallman, an entrepreneur invested in Pottstown, grew up in Valley Forge and is a Commercial Realtor. She sits on several committees in the community and also serves on the Board for the Steel River Playhouse.

“We are excited to create events and opportunities for collaboration and networking among our alumni, near and far,” she said. “We look forward to connecting and building relationships as we share our experiences and gratitude for Montco.”

Ziegler, a proud graduate of Boyertown Area Senior High School, has worked for Diamond Credit Union for five years, including two years as a business development officer. She chose to start her education at MCCC to give her a strong foundation to work in business.

She and Hallman have both served on the Alumni Association Board since 2023. Ziegler said she’s excited to continue her new roles on the Board as secretary and treasurer.

“Our goals for the Alumni Association Board include connecting with alumni beyond the local vicinity of Montgomery County Community College,” she said. “Many alumni have moved away, and we aim to engage with them by offering virtual meetings to support one another and collaborate on initiatives that benefit the College.”

The change in leadership marks the end of Vitiello’s six-year tenure on the Alumni Association. He now moves to an immediate past chair advisory role to the new Board leadership.

“I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to serve the Alumni community and would encourage any of our Alumni to stay in touch with us,” he said. “We are looking for passionate alumni, who have had a similar positive experience with Montco to serve on our Alumni Board of Directors and we would welcome the opportunity to connect with you. I wish all the best for continued success to our new Board leadership and the entire College community.”

Career and Alumni Manager Stefanie Cuadrado said she looked forward to continuing to work with the new leadership team.

“I’d like to congratulate our next executive team on their new roles on the Board and we are eager to continue our outreach efforts with their help to connect with alumni,” she said. “I’d also like to thank Bill Vitiello for his extraordinary leadership over the last six years and to say he’s performed a job well done.”
