Montgomery County Community College President Victoria Bastecki-Perez recently presented the 2022 annual update, "Year of Outcomes," to the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners at a public meeting. Some of the highlights included:
- MCCC had its largest graduating class in its history with 1,606 graduates, which included 505 first-generation graduates and 24 percent Black, Indigenous and People of Color.
- MCCC has a total county economic impact of $486.6 million for 2022, based on an economic impact report conducted by Lightcast. For every dollar invested in MCCC, taxpayers will receive a cumulative value of $2.20 over the course of the students' working lives.
- MCCC received more than $31 million in Federal Stimulus Funding - $13,396,183 of which was used for student emergency grants and $17,869,421 was used for institutional support.
- In addition, the College redefined its Statement of Values and Equity Statement as it continues to advance and expand its work on equity, diversity and belonging.
