Montgomery County Community College President Dr. Victoria L. Bastecki-Perez served as a panelist on the national panel discussion to discuss the work being done to address racial equity gaps.
In honor of Community College Month, Target X hosted an online national panel discussion, “Addressing Equity-Minded, Inclusive, and Culturally Responsive Student Initiatives,” featuring Dr. Victoria L. Bastecki-Perez, President at Montgomery County Community College; Dr. Claudia Habib, President at Porterville College; Dr. Steady Moono, President at SUNY Schenectady; and Dr. Monica Parrish Trent, Vice President for Network Engagement at Achieving the Dream, on April 14.
The panel discussion highlighted the work community colleges are doing across the country, and in particular, the work at these four institutions, to address racial equity gaps on campus and in the communities they serve.
