The National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) recently recognized nine student-athletes at Montgomery County Community College for achieving superior grade point averages while they competed in intercollegiate sports during 2018-19.
Student-athletes are eligible to earn NJCAA's academic honors by achieving an overall GPA of 3.6 or higher. The criteria for the three NJCAA All-Academic teams are: First Team, 4.0 GPA; Second Team, 3.8-3.99 GPA; and Third Team, 3.6-3.79 GPA.
Two MCCC students, Emily Crosby of Hatfield and Rebecca Godshall of Souderton, earned NJCAA's Second Team honors. Crosby played on MCCC's Mustangs women's soccer and softball teams, and Godshall played on the women's volleyball team.
Seven MCCC students earned NJCAA's Third Team honors: Eric Boyer of Hereford (men's baseball); C'enna Crosby of Lansdale (women's softball); Yazmin Gant of Bridgeport (women's basketball); Raj Hogan of Lansdale (men's soccer); Connor Kristoff of Huntingdon Valley (men's soccer); Molly McCarthy of Souderton (women's volleyball, basketball and softball); and Miljana Vukoslavovic from Serbia (women's volleyball, basketball and softball).

MCCC has seven intercollegiate athletic teams that compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 19, one of the most highly competitive regions in the country. Through MCCC's athletics program with its experienced, award-winning coaches, student-athletes learn the importance of perseverance, good sportsmanship and teamwork - skills they can carry into their personal and professional lives.
