This specialized course in theatre will explore the practical aspects of musical theatre performance and introduce the student to the history of the genre. Through the study of this American art form, students will expand their performance repertoire as well as their knowledge of groundbreaking shows and prolific composers. Students will workshop material throughout the semester in-class in front of their peers, rehearse and present songs and scenes, and will be required to view live and/or streamed theatre performances. This course is subject to a course fee.
