Acting I (THA 105)

This entry-level course in acting is an exploration of the individual's body, voice, imagination, and tools for communication. Using theatre games, exercises, and various acting methods, students will develop their tools while exploring improvisation and scripted works. These tools will be applied to the presentation of monologues and scenes. Students will be required to view live and/or streamed theatre performances. This course is subject to a course fee.

Prerequisites

The following courses must be taken prior to this course
ENG 010A - Basic Writing or ENG 011 - Basic Writing II or ESL 011 - Basic Writing II
REA 011 - Fundamentals of College Reading or REA 017 - Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension Development II
