Student-Led Program Addressing Alternative Energy and Sustainable Commuting
The INNOVA Project at Montgomery County Community College focuses on sustainable commuting with ultralight, energy-efficient solutions. The College promotes alternative energy education and offers hands-on engineering experiences. Competing in the Shell Eco-Marathon, the project emphasizes hydrogen fuel cell technology and continuous design improvements to maximize fuel efficiency and vehicle performance. INNOVA provides students with real-world experience, leading to internships, jobs and university transfers.
The team has garnered recognition both locally and internationally, thanks to collaborations, media coverage and support from Montco and beyond.
