Douglas Weiss
Douglas Weiss serves on the Montgomery County Community College Board of Trustees, a position he has held since May 2021. Doug is a leader in the business community and leverages his extensive experience in corporate strategy, financial modeling and forming strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations in his position on the Board. Currently, Doug serves as Vice President of Corporate Development for Comcast Corporation. In this role, Doug helps develop Comcast's corporate strategy through the execution of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments. He was involved in the sale of Comcast's A&E interest, the acquisition of NBCUniversal, Universal Studios Japan, Blackstone's interest in Universal Orlando and establishing a joint venture with CBS Viacom to launch SkyShowtime in Europe. Doug previously served on the board of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National MS Society.
Doug is a proud graduate of multiple Pennsylvania-based higher education institutions. He received his bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from Franklin and Marshall College and his MBA in Finance and Strategy from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Doug is a longtime resident of southeast Pennsylvania. He currently resides in Upper Dublin, PA with his wife and their four sons. In his spare time, Doug can be found watching his sons' many activities, playing golf and skiing.
Doug's favorite aspects of Montgomery County Community College are its dedication to providing access to outstanding academic programs for all students, focus on innovation and support of the broader Montgomery County community. His best advice for students is to learn as much as you can from each experience and remember there is more than one way to accomplish your goals.
