Sunshine and mild temperatures—along with the promise of a free pumpkin to carve—brought more than 89 people Saturday, Oct. 20, to Montgomery County Community College’s annual Pumpkinfest at the Fine Arts Center Gallery in Blue Bell. Participants had so much fun that many didn’t leave after carving their own pumpkin but hung around watching others create their masterpieces.

Pumpkins were generously donated by Giant, Weis, McCaffreys, Whole Foods and Wegman’s markets, including a 109-lb. giant version donated by Giant! Two of Montco’s enterprising design students carved it into a replica of the new Flyers’ mascot, Gritty. Everyone agreed—excellent likeness! Check out more photos of this fun event!
