Yuja Verity settings for assessments do not carry over when doing a course copy, but you can create a profile that can be easily applied to all your proctored assessments. When copying a proctored assessment, the title may still show (Yuja Verity for Test Proctoring), however, the setting to enable Verity will be unchecked and will let students take the assessment unproctored if you do not update the settings.
This article will provide instructions for creating a proctoring profile. If you were previously using Respondus and the assessment still says it is required, please follow the instructions to remove the requirement prior to following the instructions below.
Restore proctoring settings after a course copy:
- Locate the assessment you want proctored.
- Edit the assessment.
- Check the YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Platform box under Quiz Restrictions for Classic Quizzes or the settings tab for New Quizzes.
- Select Configure Settings.
- If you already have a profile set up, apply it to the assessment in step 2 (Platform) of the setup window. If not, choose all the Verity settings you would like to apply to the exam.
- When you reach step 5, choose Save as Profile.
- Name the profile (e.g. Final Exam Profile) and Save Profile so you don't have to do the settings for every assemsemnt in the course.
- Select Confirm to save your Verity settings.
- Save the changes to the assessment.
- For other assessments find and apply the saved profile.
*We have submitted a feature request with YuJa to have Verity settings carry over with course copies. This is the workaround in the meantime.
Find and apply a saved profile:
If you are making a new assessment and want to apply a saved profile,
- Edit the assessment.
- Select Configure Settings under the Quiz Restrictions section.
- In the Setup Proctoring window, get to step 2 (Platform) and select the Click here option at the bottom of the window.
- Apply the profile you wish to use and save the changes.
- Save the assessment.
