Mathemalchemy

On display: August 10 - October 9, 2026

Mathemalchemy is a monumental, multimedia sculpture that encourages interaction and exploration between mathematics and the arts. A team of two dozen artists and mathematicians collaborated on the piece to create a fun, exploratory artwork that makes connections among coding and quilting, graffiti and wave equations, and bookmaking and mathematical history. For the last four years, Mathemalchemy has traveled to locations throughout North America.

Montgomery County Guild of Professional Artists

30th Anniversary Exhibition

On display: September 1 - 26, 2026

New works celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Montgomery County artists' cooperative. Seventeen artists from throughout the county will exhibit their work ranging from paintings and photographs, to fibers and jewelry pieces.

Rowan K. Briggs 

Sequential: Book Arts by Rowan K. Briggs

On display: September 1 - October 23, 2026
Opening reception: September 22, 2026, 6-8 p.m.

Mixed media artworks that reveal the process of making modern, artful comic books, from the artist’s own Triskelion series to an adaptation of Shakespeare’s MacBeth. Briggs’s approach to bookmaking centers on strong storytelling and open-ended exploration of mixed media and collage, pushing the boundaries between comic books and modern artist books. This exhibition showcases the creative and production process behind Briggs’s works.

Whitpain Community Festival

The Whitpain Community Festival features a full day of events including the craft fair, a food court, fun and games for the kids, a beer garden, live music, and fireworks. 

This year's headliner is The Don’t Call Me Francis Band, with opener Basic Cable. Ft. Washington School of Rock will also perform.

Admission is free. Bring the whole family to this fantastic event!

Kate Leibrand

A House with Cosmic Roots

On display: October 5 - December 5, 2026

Kate Leibrand is best known for her large-scale fiber art installations, which have been displayed at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Philly Flower Show, the Philadelphia International Airport, and the Smithsonian Craft Show. These densely woven, lushly arranged compositions suggest fabric landscapes and organic forms. A designer by training, Leibrand’s illustrations will be on display along with her fabric installations to highlight the artist’s acute sense of color and composition in both pen-and-ink and fabric.

The Second City

Laughing for all the Wrong Reasons

Laughing For All The Wrong Reasons is a hilarious celebration of comedy—drawing from The Second City’s legendary archive of iconic sketches and songs, alongside the razor‑sharp improvisation that has defined the company for generations. This show dives headfirst into the material audiences love most: unforgettable characters, classic moments, and brilliantly irreverent comedy created on our stages by some of the most influential voices in entertainment, including Catherine O’Hara, Tina Fey, Keegan‑Michael Key, Amber Ruffin, Stephen Colbert, Tim Meadows, Bill Murray, Tim Robinson, Eugene Levy, Adam McKay, and many more.

Artrageous is a visual concert that fuses the mesmerizing music of original recording artists and composers from Artrageous with multisensory, dynamic live art curated by award-winning artists. The combined experience creates an immersive journey designed to create lasting memories and a sense of purpose and joy while stimulating your mind and senses.

Fish, Ink and Paper: The Art of Gyotaku

Montco Cultural Center Theater and Theater Gallery

An exhibit of gyotaku (the Japanese tradition of fish printing) by Collegeville artist, Michael Reimer, showcases both the ingenuity of the artist and the beauty of local wildlife. Reimer catches fish throughout Montgomery and Berks Counties that he then prepares for inking and printing according to traditional techniques and his own methods. Join us November 10 for a live demonstration with the artist.

PumpkinFest 2026: Halloween Edition!

Our annual pumpkin-sculpting event coincides with Halloween this year! We’ll mark the occasion not only with our popular pumpkin-sculpting workshop but also with a costume clinic.  We provide carving tools, inspiration, many costume materials, and some know-how, you just come with your creativity and costumes for the big night! Our art experts will triage or help put finishing touches on your costumes so you can walk out with a new jack-o-lantern plus a finished costume. Tickets are just $10, and pumpkins are free for the first 40 to register!

The Little Mermaid is Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved and well-known fairy tale, which is why it’s not the story we are going to tell you. No, no way. We’re going to tell you the story about a Little Rain Cloud who falls in love with a human. They are not the same story at all, we promise!

Nasir Young

Nasir Young

On display: January 11 - February 26, 2027
Opening reception: January 22, 2027, 5-7 p.m.

Nasir Young is an acute observer of city life, architecture, everyday environments, and objects that most people take for granted.  With the energy of sketches, his paintings trace the elusive identity of places as mundane as storefronts, garage entrances, and freeway underpasses, hinting at their layers of history.  A 2017 Montco alum, Young went on to complete a BFA at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 2021 and an MFA from the University of Delaware in 2026.  He has exhibited in numerous solo shows in New York and Philadelphia since 2021. Nasir Young is represented by Gross-McCleaf Gallery.

Beneath the Bark: Montco Woodworking

An exhibition that brings the extraordinary creativity of Montgomery County woodworkers to life. These artists often use local woods, peering deep beneath the bark to see the sculptural potential located within. Participating artists include David Washington, Peter Park, Gene Chernyak, Sophie Glenn, Brad Smith, Larissa Huff, Casey Chew, and Ray Kelso. Organized by David Washington.

This creative literacy show combines original music with interactive content from "Insects and Me A to Z," written by Mélissa Smith, who joins Ants on a Log with this book of bug facts, strength-based affirmations, and a refreshingly diverse cast of characters.

Ms. Greer's classroom includes three inquisitive out-of-the-box thinkers. Rosie Revere has big dreams. Iggy Peck has a relentless passion for architecture. Join us for a fun musical based on the books Rosie Revere, Engineer; Iggy Peck, Architect; and Ada Twist Scientist by Andrea Beaty, which spotlights the STEM curriculum (focusing on science, technology, engineering and math).
