Montgomery County Community College and members of the  Pottstown Area Artists Guild invite the community to visit and enjoy the annual members-only Winter Show at the College’s North Hall Gallery, Pottstown Campus, 16 East High Street, Pottstown. Parking is available along High Street or at the College’s South Hall lot at 101 College Drive.

The exhibit opened Monday, Jan. 8, and features more than 75 pieces of artwork created in a variety of media, including oils, watercolors, charcoal, encaustics, tapestries and sculpture. The exhibit is free, and everyone is welcome.

“The Guild appreciates the support of the Montgomery County Community College and especially the Gallery Director, Patrick Rodgers in hosting this exhibit,” said Guild member, Don Havas. “Our artists all exclaim how wonderful it is to be able to exhibit in this beautiful gallery space.”

The art exhibit highlights the longtime collaborative relationship between MCCC and PAAG.

Rhonda Counts“We’ve been exhibiting with the Guild since 2018 and every show is wildly different—a huge variety of works, techniques, and skill levels make each grouping of works from the Guild dynamic and surprising; they always offer something new,” said Patrick Rodgers, MCCC Galleries Director. “This year’s show includes some experimental paintings and abstract works, beautiful tapestries, and evocative photography.”

Visitors are invited to vote for their favorite piece of artwork by submitting the name of the artwork and artist in the ballot “birdhouse” box on the welcome table. The artwork with the most votes will be announced and awarded at the end of the exhibit on Jan. 28.
