Foundation Scholarships

Each year, alumni, corporate partners, and friends give generously to the Montgomery County Community College Foundation. As a result, hundreds of students are awarded scholarships through the Foundation. Each scholarship has its own criteria — some are general and others are more specific. View the list of available scholarships and selection criteria.

Eligibility and Selection

Any new or returning Montgomery County Community College student is eligible to apply for Foundation Scholarships. If you are chosen as a Foundation Scholarship recipient, you will be asked to sign a Foundation scholarship agreement contract, write a thank you note to the donor and attend the annual Salute to Excellence scholarship appreciation event. You are also expected to remain in good academic standing and continue to meet the specific criteria of your scholarship.

Application Process

The College awards scholarships through the Financial Aid Office. Each scholarship has specific criteria for eligibility and some scholarships require an online application to be considered. Applicants must meet all deadlines in order to remain eligible for scholarship awards. Recipients are selected prior to the start of the upcoming semester and are notified of their scholarship. The Financial Aid Office will notify recipients by mail or email. Depending on the timing of the scholarship, the awards may be distributed all at once or distributed equally into two semesters.

Note: Scholarships can be revoked if the recipient no longer meets the criteria.
