Jan. 31, 2014, Norristown, Pa.— College-bound students and their parents are invited to a Regional College Fair at the Greater Norristown Police Athletic League, 340 Harding Blvd., Norristown, on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 6-7:30 p.m. The evening portion of the fair is free and is open to the public.
The event is being sponsored by Montgomery County Community College, the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling and the Greater Norristown Police Athletic League.
During the day, Norristown eighth grade students will be visiting the College Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to meet representatives from more than 30 colleges and universities and to ask questions about the various institutions.
The public portion of the College Fair continues from 6-7:30 p.m., during which parents and students can talk to college representatives about admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and academic programs. High school students in grades nine through 12 are encouraged to attend along with their parents and friends. Spanish and Chinese translators will be on hand for the event.
