MCCC to Host Annual Faculty and Alumni Art Show

Adjunct art faculty Peter Quinn’s Raku-fired vase.Dec. 30, 2013, Blue Bell, Pa.— Montgomery County Community College will be highlighting the work of its art faculty and invited art alumni at its Annual Faculty and Alumni Art Show, which opens Tuesday, Jan. 21, and continues through Friday, Feb. 14, at the Fine Arts Center Gallery, Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell.

More than 40 full and part-time faculty members and about 35 art alumni were invited to participate in the exhibition and sale. A special “Meet the Artists” reception will be held Sunday, Feb. 2, from 1-3 p.m. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the community.

The exhibition includes a variety of styles and media, including ceramics, sculptures, oil paintings, water colors, drawings, photography and digital arts.

The gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-9:30 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
