West Campus

West Campus
101 College Drive
General Information

Located within walking distance of both an urban downtown and scenic riverfront, the West Campus offers students a unique college atmosphere in the heart of the Pottstown Borough.

Since opening its doors 1996, the West Campus has grown from just under 300 students to more than 4,500 and has expanded to four buildings—three of which are repurposed historic landmarks.

The former Vaughn Knitting Mill/Kiwi Shoe Polish Factory at 16 High Street is now North Hall, which houses classrooms, music and computer laboratories, art and dance studios and a Fine Arts Gallery.

The former PECO Power Substation at 140 College Drive is being transformed into a three-acre Sustainability and Innovation HUB, which houses the offices and Interpretive Center of the Schuylkill River National and State Heritage Area, an outdoor amphitheater and future STEM classrooms and laboratories.

And the former train station baggage claim building at 95 South Hanover Street is now the University Center, where select four-year colleges and universities offer bachelor and graduate degrees.

The College’s original building, South Hall, located at 101 College Drive, houses classrooms, science and computer laboratories, library, Student Success Center, Health Career Suite and cafeteria—amenities that make West a full-service campus for residents of the tri-county region.
